This week’s show is sixth in a series called Democracy Propaganda, and in this installment, we’re going to be talking about the WWI era Committee on Public Information. It was a propaganda department created under the Woodrow Wilson administration, and we’re going to find out that it actually changed the way the US government handles propaganda and mass manipulation of the citizenry. The tactics that were used under the CPI are still used to this day, and you can bet with the invention of social media, they have even more ways to subject the public to propaganda.

So we’re going to get deeply into this subject and I hope that you learn a lot and hopefully spread this information around. It’s one of those things that happened in the history of America that’s barely even talked about or barely known, and it sounds like something right out of George Orwell’s nineteen eighty four. But it happened here, and it happens still today…
